This hilly residential area is always associated with landslide. There are several deadly landslides happened before, such as Bukit Antarabangsa tragedy in December 2008, Taman Hillview bungalow collapsed in 2002 and Highland Towers collapsed in 1993. Despite of these tragedies, there are still a number of housing projects proposed to be sited on the hill. This landslide issue has also affected prices of properties in the area, as these residences doesn't seem to appreciate much. Unlike properties in other residential areas like Melawati and Wangsa Maju, which see steady price appreciation over the years.
Pricing wise, Taman Andaman Ukay is tagged at RM480,000 after its completion in 2005. Nowadays, a unit is going for RM1,000,000 onwards. There is still potential for Taman Andaman Ukay price to appreciate further due to strong demand for landed homes within gated community.
