Section 1

Section 1, as its name would suggest, is the first planned residential development in Petaling Jaya. It is located in the southern part of Petaling Jaya and together with Section 2 and Section 3, making up the more commonly known "PJ Old Town". Section 1 comprised of landed bungalows dating back to the 50's. However, many of these old wooden houses have been torn down and rebuilt with a more modern design and incorporating high-tech fittings. The facts that Section 1 is in Petaling Jaya and is located just off Federal Highway mean that traveling to Kuala Lumpur City Center, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang is a breeze. Other major roads and highways including the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong, New Pantai Expressway and Old Klang Road, which connect Section 1 to other parts of Klang Valley. The Jalan Templer KTM Komuter station is just a stone's throw away and provides an alternative traveling means. Amenities for instance commercial banks, medical center like the Assunta Hospital, kindergartens, schools, markets, shops, food courts and eateries, are easily available within a short distance walk or drive. To the West of Section 1 is Section 51, an industrial and business center with many local and international companies located here. Towards the East is Bukit Gasing Forest Reserve, which serves as a much needed green lung to this area.

  • Analysis

Set in a peaceful neighborhood with plenty of amenities around and with good accessibility makes Section 1, one address in Petaling Jaya that is most often being sought after for both own dwelling and investment purposes. In the day time, traffic can be a headache especially at the commercial area in Section 1, probably due to limited parking space and irresponsible drivers parking indiscriminately causing further traffic congestion.
