For shopping and leisure, USJ 2 is surrounded by many shopping centers such as Empire Subang, Subang Parade, First Subang, Summit USJ, Sunway Pyramid, One City, Main Place USJ, Giant USJ and Mydin USJ. Within the neighborhood, there are two rows of shoplots which consist of eateries, clinics and mini market to serve basic amenities for the residents around the area.
USJ 2 is also a stone’s throw away from educational institutions such as INTI College, Taylor’s College, Sunway College, The One Academy, Metropolitan College, Monash Universiry, Sri Kuala Lumpur, Sri UCSI and Fairview International School. Furthermore, it is near to medical centres such as Sunway Medical Centre and Sime Darby Medical Centre (formerly SJMC). There are also restaurants, commercial areas and mosques around the area.
USJ 2 is accessible through the Federal Highway, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), North – South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), the Damansara – Puchong Expressway (LDP) and the New Pantai Expressway (NPE). The neighbourhood is situated between Persiaran Tujuan and Persiaran Kewajipan, which are the two main roads serving the township.
USJ 2 is a residential neighbourhood where many amenities are of close proximity, such as walking distance to primary and secondary schools, playgrounds, public transports, shopping malls and commercial centres. It is only about 3 minutes drive to Summit USJ, 10 minutes drive to Sunway Pyramid and Empire Subang, 20 minutes drive to KL via NPE, 35 minutes drive to Putrajaya / Cyberjaya and 40 minutes drive to KLIA.
In line with the government vision of healthy living and to promote sports, the Subang Jaya Municipal Council Complex has a football turf and athletic field in USJ 5. For healthcare purposes, there are Sime Darby Medical Center and Sunway Medical Centre nearby. Also, there is a smaller medical centre at USJ 9 named QHC Medical Centre. There is no shortage of clinics around USJ to serve the residents. For movie buffs, there are a few cinemas nearby.
Due to the strategic location of USJ 2 at the criss-crossing network of highways, it has experienced accelerated growth and property appreciation over the years. Usually, the subsale houses in USJ 2 are pretty matured and unfurnished. Renovation worth of at least a whopping RM100,000 is needed to make the houses look modern and new. Hence, calculation of the house prices should include the fees of the type of renovation you require.
