Midfields that is located in Sungai Besi is a newly launched project by the well established developer, YTL Land & Development. The condominium project that is being built on leasehold land is due for completion in 2013. All of the units here are modern and sleek, designed to appeal to working professionals.
There are 3 blocks at Midfields which are A1, A2, B1, B2 and C. Most of the units at Block C are owned by Korean as YTL launched this block in Korea to garner more international interest in local properties. Appealing to practical property buyers, the developer have installed all units with air conditioners in the master bedroom and in the living room. The home owners are also given the option of a dry and wet kitchen in the foyer.
Midfields developers know that safety is a concern in purchasing a city property. Therefore, a thorough 24-hour security with CCTV is provided to ensure the safety of residents. Residents can then enjoy their time utilising the facilities that include a gymnasium, park area, swimming pool, badminton courts and squash courts. Football enthusiasts will revel over the futsal courts available on site. Those who are particular about cleanliness would be glad to know about the daily cleaning service provided by the management to clean out the corridors and public areas.
Opposite Midfields Condominium is Midfields Square, prime commercial units that is expected to provide more convenience to the residents for their basic daily necessities. Other than providing lots for offices, the new development is also expected to have alfresco dining choices. Upon completion, it will definitely complement the condominium, hence, adding more value to the property.
Midfields is accessible from 4 major highways – the Federal Highway, Metrama East-West, Besraya, and KL-Putrajaya. It is also located close to trains for the urban warriors who prefer soldiering through Malaysian public transportations over the comfort of their vehicles while waiting in traffic jams. The nearby train stations are Salak Selatan and Bandar Tasik Selatan stations.
One of the first things to be noticed about Midfields would be the proximity of the location to the city centre, allowing easy and fast access to the offices of the residents. The added advantage of the LRT station nearby also allows for better access. As with all condominiums, Midfields will offer the residents the full facilities expected of such a location with the basic amenities like the gym and swimming pools, but also the 1 acre park will give residents a place to relax and merge with nature, or simply for a simple run through the park, away from the hustle and bustle of living the city life.
By looking at the condominiums developed by YTL like The Saffron and The Tamarind which are considered as very successful projects, Midfields no doubt is good for investment or for own occupied. In addition, 40 units of 3-storey shop lots will be completed by 2013. There is no doubt the price will increase according to the market rate once the project is completed.
When looking at the individual units of Midfields itself, one may find the concept of the full height glass door overlooking the small balcony from the bedrooms quite appealing. Not only that, there are also the 3 different views that you may select from – the KL city skyline, the pool, or the park. Giving the city dweller an option like Midfields would be a blessing in disguise for both work and play.
However, there have been several complaints about the Internet service (or lack of it) in Midfields buildings. They 4G Yes Internet service preached by YTL sounds better on paper than actual application in real life. The centralized gas system provided in Block A may sounded novel, but the actual result of it does not pleased most of the owners who prefer the cylinder gas.
