Bandar Sunway Semenyih is an integrated township spanning over 700 acres of freehold land nestled in Semenyih, along the Kajang - Semenyih highway. This township is fully developed by Sunway City Sdn Bhd.

Bandar Sunway Semenyih is planned to be developed in 19 phases. About half of the phases have been completed. Most developments within the township are landed properties, comprising 2-storey terrace, 2-storey semi-detached homes and bungalows. These landed properties are sited within a gated and guarded community. In addition, there are a few blocks of low-cost apartments built at the far end of the township in a valley.

This township of Bandar Sunway Semenyih is integrated with a clubhouse, shophouses, reflexology pathway, jogging pathway, techtone-coated basketball court with lights and a 4.3-acre recreational park. The clubhouse is equipped with gymnasium, steam room, swimming pool and cafe, but has since been sold off to a private company.

In addition, there are also a brand new secondary school, the Kiara Business Park and shophouses in the area with numerous Malay and Chinese restaurants, 99 Speedmart and tuition centres nearby Bandar Sunway Semenyih. As for major grocery shopping needs, it is about 5 km radius to Tesco, Giant, Billion, Mydin Hypermart and Fajar Supermarket. The nearest shopping malls are Metropoint Kajang, Mines, Metro Kajang and Warta Bangi.

Accessibility wise, Bandar Sunway Semenyih can be reached via Jalan Sunway Semenyih from Jalan Semenyih. From Jalan Semenyih, motorist can access Kajang - Seremban Highway (LEKAS), SILK Highway and Kajang - Semenyih Bypass.

    The surrounding and environment of the area is serene, as Bandar Sunway Semenyih is situated on a high elevated land. The air is cool and fresh around here. Besides that, the serene environment it offers is also because the residential area lacks the commercial component that translates into commercial activities in the area. However, commercial activities are set to soar with the completion of the Kiara Business Park located just in front of Sunway Semenyih, fronting the main Jalan Semenyih. Security here is good and break-ins are very rare, because every phase is individually gated and guarded. The SK Bandar Sunway Semenyih that has been completed and due for registration in 2014 is located right in the heart of this neighbourhood will add on to the convenience for the school children.

    Previously, there is a factory that can be found located near to the Bandar Sunway Semenyih. There used to be reports saying that the workers create noise in the area, though the workers themselves had not caused any trouble. However, residents have not put in any complaints anymore recently as we believe the factory has issued disciplinary actions. Besides the factory, there is a quarry located behind the Sunway Semenyih hill, owned by Hanson Quarry Sdn Bhd but they are heavily monitored by the DOE and MPKJ so it does not really pose an issue.

    Compared to nowadays large townships developments, such as Kota Kemuning, Ara Damansara and Alam Impian, Bandar Sunway Semenyih standard is below these modern township developments. The design was out-dated and the launch prices then were overpriced. Nowadays with the big developers like SP Setia, Ecoworld, Tropicana and Country Garden taking a foothold even at Beranang, Sunway Semenyih is getting extremely popular as the most convenient location in Semenyih, closest to KL.

    Some say the area is still considered far from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (exactly 35 km) and to established business areas such as Puchong and Petaling Jaya. Bandar Sunway Semenyih to Kuala Lumpur is approximately about 30 minutes to over 1 hour if during peak. However, the under construction MRT at Kajang would be a boon as the three stations are less than 9 km away from here.
