Millennium Square is a mixed leasehold condominium and commercial development located strategically near the Central Business Districts Section 14, Petaling Jaya. It is preferred for its strategic location within central business hub and near several amenities.
For just about 10 minutes of walking, one can reach several office buildings, colleges and arrays of shop lots such as Stamford College, Amway headquarter, Hino Motors building, Giant supermarket and The Store. In addition, Section 14’s CBD and industrial area, which houses Digital Mall and Jaya 33, is also within close proximity to Millennium Square. Plus, it is close to PJ Old Town, the prime precinct of Petaling Jaya.
There are a number of schools nearby including German International School, SR Sri Petaling, SMK (L) Bukit Bintang, SMK (P) Sri Aman and SJK (T) Vivekananda. Higher education institutions nearby are UTAR, Stamford College, Olympia College, PJ CAD, Unity College and University Malaya.
Two hospitals are just few minutes away, namely Tun Hussein Onn Hational Eye Hospital and University Malaya Medical Centre. In terms of accessibility, residents of Millennium Square are well served by public transportation. Right in front of the condominium, there is a bus and taxi station. Not only that, it is few meters away from Asia Jaya LRT station.
The development of Millennium Square was delayed due to numerous complaints lodged by Section 14 residents. Most of them are related to traffic issue, which they claimed that the development has not only worsened traffic congestion, it also caused accident. As a solution, Jalan 223 was open to two-way traffic and a new access road was planned to link Jalan 14/15 to Menara Axis and Asia Jaya LRT station.
In addition, Millennium Square is built near to monsoon drain and Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s sub-station and wire cables. Hence, it can pull the magnetic flow if there is a lighting strike to hit Millennium Square. Also, residents are exposed to flash flood.
