Taman Lembah Maju is sandwiched in between the huge Pandan Indah, Taman Cheras Indah, Taman Kencana, Taman Muda, Taman Putra and Taman Pandan Mewah, in the bigger enclave of Pandan. Taman Lembah Maju is under the care of Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ), and both freehold and leasehold land can be found here.

Taman Lembah Maju, much like its surround townships, has been there for a long time. Thus, everything has been going on organically for some time now. This is evident through a closer examination of the residential units here, as new properties are as rare as dodo birds. 600 Apartment is the only low-cost apartment property in Taman Lembah Maju. It has shops on its ground floor. Then there are the usual flats and double-storey terrace house. Most interesting is the town house development, which takes on the seldom-used single house, different levels and different tenants concept.The shop lots are all busy with long-time tenants, and some of them are restaurants, utilities and appliances shops, vehicle repair and maintenance shops, laundry, convenience stores, hawker centres and a host of other shops of all shapes and sizes.

Additional amenities for Taman Lembah Maju residents might be easier to be found on the circulating townships around Taman Lembah Maju. Malls are aplenty with Pandan Kapital, Mid-Point Shopping Centre and Fiesta Mall. However, these malls are not those high-end shopping complexes that you would find closer to the city or in the Damansara area. Government schools are aplenty around the area as the townships there consist of lots of families. Hospital Ampang and Hospital Pantai Pandan are two medical centres that can be used by all. Do note that all of these amenities are not located in Taman Lembah Jaya, but merely in the near vicinity only. Lastly, there are badminton and multipurpose courts for the residents of Taman Lembah Maju to use.

Jalan Pandan Utama would be the most obvious entry to Taman Lembah Maju. One would have to cross the bridge over Sungai Kerayong from Pandan Indah in order to get to the area. Jalan Bunga Mawar is the main road there, and it leads to Jalan Bunga Raya. Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) is so easy to get to as the previously mentioned roads can take the drivers there. With MRR2, Sungai Besi Expressway (SBE) and Ampang - Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) are the practical highways that can help the residents of Taman Lembah Maju to travel elsewhere in Kuala lumpur and Selangor.

    Taman Lembah Maju is awesome due to its high-in-demand location. Those who work in the Kuala Lumpur city centre will revel in its proximity to the city. Though close-by train stations are lacking, the bus routes are many around the area, thus the train stations can be reached by taking the bus. Those who drive cars or ride bikes would not have much problems at all, except for the traffic. The traffic is heavy around peak hours, but at other times, it is not so bad.

    Then the amenities are easy to get to in Taman Lembah Maju. At least, the basic necessities are there such as restaurants, banks, convenience store and basic appliances and supplies. The schools are also around, though not directly in Taman Lembah Maju. Thus, family needs are addressed well enough if you live in the area.

    Granted, the physical appearance of Taman Lembah Maju may deflect interested tenants. The dilapidating state of the buildings has the chance to deter people from the area. Taman Lembah Maju is an aged area anyways, so it should not come as a surprise. To make matters just that bit more negative, Sungai Kerayong greets those who enter the place through Jalan Pandan Utama. It is a river that has been dirtied by unwanted wastes from irresponsible citizen. It is not a sight for sore eyes, that is for sure.

    Taman Lembah Maju would be a fantastic option to those who are looking for affordable place to stay while working in the city. Those with cars might have it easier, though taxis and buses will serve the masses accordingly. At the same time, the families would have it fine here if they had chosen the appropriate unit according to their liking, and if Taman Lembah Maju is well-equipped to address their basic needs.
