Sun Kiara is a new condominium mushrooming in the posh postcode of Mont Kiara. It is situated in between VERVE Suites and Casa Kiara II. It has been buzzing around since late 2009 with a price tag of RM1,100 psf.
However, Sun Kiara has not been launched even till this date. According to the developer, they are waiting for the property market in Mont Kiara to uptrend, as there are some overhung of units in the vicinity. The decision was made since their holding cost is low.
Sun Kiara comprises of a single tower with a 3-storey clubhouse-cum-car park block besides it. There are 7 layouts to choose starting from 2,450 sf. Full condominium facilities are provided including gymnasium, bubble pool, sky lounge and privae lounge. It is estimated to be launched at about RM1,100 psf.
Being part the 'Global Village' community, residents of Sun Kiara will enjoy vast array of amenities such as international schools (Garden International Schools and Monta Kiara International School), retail mall (Plaza Mont Kiara, One Mont Kiara and Hartamas Shopping Centre) and abundance of commercial centres located just mere mintues away (Solaris Mont Kiara and Desa Sri Hartamas).
Looking at its design, Sun Kiara is just a typical design of a contemporary condominium design nowadays - the ones that you can even find in Puchong or Petaling Jaya. Comparing to other upcoming contenders in Mont Kiara, this will definitely lose to the rest, including Kenny Heights Sanctuary, Icon Residence and 28 Mont Kiara. Besides that, a lot of potential buyers do not like the idea of separate car park complex, as they need to walk from the block to the residential block and also wait for lift twice on the way to get to their car. Why life should be any more difficult?
The developer of Sun Kiara is a new company with its founder / Chairman Mr Yen Sun is an experienced developer. The company is also driven by another 2 directors, Mr Khong Wooi, a businessman and Mr Lim Thian Chai an architect. Even though the developer claimed that they are an established local player in the industry, they have not come up with any property development yet.
