Menara Bank Islam (also known as Menara MAIWP) is a freehold property located within the Golden Triangle, between KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Its immediate neighbours are Kenanga International, Kompleks Antarabangsa, Menara Perak, Wisma UOA I and Wisma UOA II.
Built by Crest Builder Holdings, the freehold property is an office tower on the busy road of Jalan Perak. It is a relatively new building comprises of 34 storeys and multilevel car park, consisting of 458 parking bays. However, the visitor parking in the basement is closed on Friday noons for Muslims' Friday congregational prayer.
Menara Bank Islam's location is just between the famous KLCC and Pavilion shopping mall. Designed with luxury appealing from outside and inside, the building is surrounded by commercial centers such as Petronas Twin Towers, and other amenities. The area surrounding Menara Bank Islam is known as a busy area with many tourists and locals. Amenities such banks, travel agencies, malls, restaurants and almost all are just in close distance.
Kuala Lumpur motorists will have to endure traffic along Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Tun Ismail to reach the office tower. However, there are numerous public transportation nearby such as Raja Chulan Monorail, Bukit Nanas Monorail, Bukit Bintang Monorail and KLCC LRT. Public busses are also available within short walking distance.
Menara Bank Islam is a luxurious designed building within the center of Kuala Lumpur. The Management provides sufficient facilities to ease office and shop owners of the building. The office tower holds the headquarter of Bank Islam Malaysia, with other tenants being Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) and Lembaga Tabung Haji.
Other amenities nearby Menara Bank Islam are Olympia College KL, Hakka Restaurant, Isetan @ Suria KLCC store, Wendy's Burger fast food, and Suria KLCC shopping center.The location is so strategic and linked to almost all types of amenities, making it a popular choice for Muslims to have their Friday congregational prayer in the basement, dubbing the parking bay as 'Underground Friday Prayer Centre.
The general complaint about Menara Bank Islam building is unfortunately its lift system, with people commenting that the waiting period is too long. There are many reserved parking bays in the basement, making visitors of the building frustrated having to pay just to browse without finding an actual parking space.
