Idaman Residence is a luxury high-end condominium situated right opposite to the Petronas Twin Towers in KLCC. The exclusive resort condominium is located right in the center of the KL’s Golden Triangle, where one could indulge in shopping, dining and recreational activities that catered especially for those city folks.
Towering 34-storey high over the city center, Idaman Residence was built on 1.45 acres of premier freehold land with optimum layout designed to enhance individual private spaces. There are nine units of apartments on each floor with sizes ranging from 877 up to 2,174 sf where the ceiling is 10-feet height. The living room, dining area and master bathroom laid feature first-class imported marble.
For that superbly sleek and modern-futuristic look, the Idaman Residence exterior is 90% glass, with view overlooking KLCC and KL cityscape that one can personally enjoy from within their home. Even by entering the condominium lobby, one would be incredibly impressed with the 30-feet high ceiling, an epitome of making a “grand entrance”.
Idaman Residence is located directly across Menara TA and one side of the condo faces KLCC. Nestling in one of the most strategic locations within the KLCC enclave, off Jalan P Ramlee is near nightclubs, shopping malls (in the Golden Triangle) and varieties of eateries. It is no surprise that the area can be heavily congested with traffic.
The traffic flow surrounding Idaman Residence usually leads the Kuala Lumpur motorists to Jalan Tun Razak, AKLEH and Jalan Kuching. Through these roads, the drivers can reach Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Gombak, Sungai Besi and Ampang. Idaman Residence is certainly nestled in the middle of Klang Valley.
The price of Idaman Residence was around RM620 psf prior to its completion. Today, as of September 2014, the subsale price starts at RM1,100,000, in which it is still considered as a reasonable deal, compared to other condominiums in the KLCC vicinity that cost up to RM1,000 psf. As the price is ranged according to the layout sizes, one will only have a choice of the KLCC view or no KLCC view. Condominium units with Layout A, which is the biggest of all at 2,174 sf, are the only units that give the residents a full view of KLCC. This is perfect for those big fan of KLCC. The rest of the units are either with partial view of Petronas Twin Towers or not at all.
However, units with Layout H seems to be the favorite among buyers who does not need a bungalow space. The smallest among the rest, Layout H has only humble space of 877 sf. Then again, some complained that with a little more or less of a full skyline view upon entering the front door of Type H, the units are sometimes overpriced. Some argued that these beautifully designed studio-like units are actually indeed very affordable, especially when they are situated in the posh KLCC area. Not having to specify into one particular layout, investors and buyers get to choose from 25 different designs; the only difference for the same type, e.g. Type I1, I2, I3, is the sizes of the balcony but not the interior layout. This is sufficiently convenient for one to select which design suits best with no lack of choices.
To please smart buyers, the developer threw in freebies such as built-in kitchen cabinets and basic appliances, making Idaman Residence so far without any harsh complaints. All in all, Idaman Residence seems to be a place well worth to invest in, especially in this economic condition and since substantial percentage of this market is made up of foreign investors. Wait for a few more years and watch the value shoots up, because there is no way one could un-posh KLCC area.
