Taman Perling is a mixed development township situated in Tampoi, Johor Bahru. It was developed in 1981 and is now one of the main townships of Johor Bahru. Bandar Uda Utama and Taman Sutera are two of the nearest townships.
Taman Perling comprises of semi-detached houses, flat apartments, terrace houses and shop-offices. Semi-detached houses have built-up area of about 2,000 sf with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms while terrace houses typically have built-up size of about 3,800 sf with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Flat apartments have built-up areas of approximately 1,000 sf with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms whereas shop-offices mainly come in built-up sizes of about 1,400 sf. Residents of Taman Perling do not need to worry about the amenities as there are plenty provided within the township itself.
One of the famous landmarks in Taman Perling is the Perling Mall which is a host to many amenities such as restaurants and cafes, retails outlets and more. If you love the bustling sounds of the market, the Perling Public Market is located just next to the Perling Mall.

Hospital Pakar Johor is located within a 20 minutes drive away for those who need serious medical attentions.
There are several schools located within Taman Perling itself namely SJK Pei Hwa, SK Taman Perling and SMK Taman Perling. Other schools that are located nearby are SM Sri Omega, SK Pengkalan Rinting and SK Seri Perling 2, all located within a 15 minutes drive away. It is accessible via Jalan Persiaran Perling 1, Jalan Sutera, Jalan Belibis and of course, the Second Link Highway.
Taman Perling has been rapidly developing over the years and is now one of Johor’s busiest townships. Located near to the second-link highway which connects Johor to Singapore, this provides ample opportunities to those working in Johor and also in Singapore.
Many Singaporeans are very much interested in properties in Johor particularly Taman Perling as it is convenient to travel to work and also the costs of living is lower in Johor. However, Taman Perling also has its own fair share of petty crimes in the area such as people stealing drain covers within the development. The suspect was seen wearing a security guard attire and was carrying 3 drain covers wrapped in newspapers when the patrol police officers stop him, the suspect was also tested positive in a standard drugs test and was later detained.
