Taman Cheras Mas is a mixed development neighborhood sited in Batu 9 Cheras, Selangor. It is nestled amongst many housing areas like Taman Lagenda Mas, The Peak and Taman Rasa Sayang.

Apart from that, residents can also go to Save 99 supermarket for their basic necessity which is sited about a 5 minutes short drive away using Jalan Mas Utama. Econsave is 9 minutes drive away.
Pantai Cheras Medical Centre is sited just 11 minutes of a short drive away from Taman Cheras Mas. Several schools can be found situated within 2km radius like SK Taman Cuepacs, Sekolah Rendah Agama Al-mubaraqah, Sekolah Muzik Ocean, SK Seri Anggerik and Sekolah Rendah Agama Batu 9 Cheras.
Taman Cheras Mas is accessible via Cheras-Kajang highway and also Lebuhraya Hubungan Timur-Barat. There are alternative routes to get there such as Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) and Jalan Alam Damai.
There were disputes over the issue of the gated community plan in Taman Cheras Mas on whether there should still be a gated community despite not having unanimous votes from the residents. There were complains that the housing area was made into a gated community when consensus was not reached.
The RA or residents association was trying to convince the residents that gated community would be good for security purposes but the residents were not convinced as the guardâ€™s post was situated far from the homes.
Another issue that has been on-going for years now is the traffic congestion in Cheras which is a daily problem for many who commute to and fro the area during rush hours. The problem is worsened during rainy days as some main roads leading to many residential areas in Cheras might be flooded.
