Menara Bukit Ceylon is one of the oldest condominiums in Bukit Ceylon vicinity. It comprises of a condominium tower with only 4 units per floor. Sited at the junction of Changkat Bukit Bintang and Jalan Ceylon, residents of Menara Bukit Ceylon are pampered with loads of amenities.
Menara Bukit Ceylon is just 10 minutes walking to Bukit Bintang shoppers’ heaven that consists of Pavilion, Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza, Berjaya Times Square and Starhill Gallery. In addition, the condom is surrounded by numerous corporate buildings and towers.
There is also St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church located 15 minutes away by foot from Menara Bukit Ceylon. Furthermore, it is also surrounded by plenty eateries, from the exclusive Italian restaurant to local delicacy hawkers.
Accessibility wise, Menara Bukit Ceylon is easily reachable via public transportation. One can easily catch a taxi and bus nearby. It is also within close proximity to Plaza Rakyat LRT station and Bukit Bintang Monorail station.
As Menara Bukit Ceylon is already dated and looks old, it seriously needs major renovation on the interior. This is one of the reasons why the rental rates here range from RM3,500 up to RM6,000 for the same layout. The expensive units are most probably had been revamped and furnished with modern appliances and furniture to increase their value.
Located on the uphill side of Bukit Ceylon, these units of Menara Bukit Ceylon enjoy nice views of the city centre. The best view is enjoyed by the east facing units where they enjoy undisrupted view of the city centre skyline that includes Petronas Twin Towers, Berjaya Times Square, and KL Tower.
The north view from Menara Bukit Ceylon comprises KL Tower and the city centre. But due to the new Vida Soho development, this view will be blocked. The south is facing City Garden Condominium and Pudu enclave. On the west wing, residents’ view is only Bolton Court (Sixceylon) – the worst among all.
In terms of facilities, Menara Bukit Ceylon is undoubted the winner in this hilly enclave (compared to other old condominiums within its league). It has the largest swimming pool and also the only squash court. However, its gymnasium looks dated. Its security is tight and the lawn is nicely landscaped and maintained.
There is a proposed 27-storey service apartment project right next to Menara Bukit Ceylon. It will comprise 209 units, four levels parking of podium and two levels of basement parking. Currently, the plan is being objected by the residents due to congestion, illegal roadside parking, traffic obstruction and damage to the liveability of the neighborhood issues.
The most favorable unit type is the 2+1 bedrooms unit with built-up size of approximately 1,500 sf– the cheapest option here. The unit is favored by expatriates as it offers the cheapest rental and most of expatriate residents here are singles who are working nearby.
