Araville is a high rise condominium located along Jalan Kapas, on top of Bangsar. It is situated directly behind Casa Vista. Both Araville and Casa Vista are famous condominiums among expatriates. Among its immediate residential neighbours are Park Rose, Sri Wangsaria, Bangsar Peak, Bayu Angkasa, and The Luxe.
Araville is a low density residential housing only 89 units. From the unit, residents can enjoy spectacular view of Bangsar hills and Damansara Heights, or undisrupted view of Kuala Lumpur city. Some also claimed that they are able to enjoy Genting Highlands view if the weather is good.
Residing in Bangsar, residents are pampered with plenty of amenities within short distance. There are several shopping centers located in Bangsar as well as surrounding the vicinity. The ones located in the vicinity are Bangsar Shopping Centre, and Bangsar Village 1 and 2. Just few kilometres away on the east, one can find the gigantic Mid Valley Megamall, and The Gardens. Plus, Tropicana Mall, 1-Utama Shopping Centre, The Curve and IKEA are not very far away as well.
Besides shopping malls, there are a number of medical centers located within short driving distance from Araville, namely Ayurvedic Medical Centre, Pantai Medical Centre and Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. For golf enthusiasts, there are KGPA and KLGC located nearby along SPRINT highway. Not only that, there are Bangsar Putra LRT station and KL Sentral transportation hub located few kilometres from the condominium.
In terms of accessibility to Araville, there are several highways to serve the residents. One can utilize SPRINT highway to reach Damansara, Sri Hartamas, Mont Kiara and Kuala Lumpur city centre via Jalan Kuching. Besides that, one can also utilize New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Penchala Link and Federal Highway to reach various destinations. Each of these highways has its access nearby Bangsar.
Araville is a residential development by Golden Klang Valley, which is an associate company of SP Setia. The company also developed the Right Angle commercial shop offices and Menara Bakti with adjoining 4-storey shop house in Section 14, Petaling Jaya. Some of the residents of Jalan Kapas and Jalan Medang Tanduk have forwarded their concern to authorities and media upon several landslide cases happened in Ampang and Damansara Heights. They believed that due to several upcoming developments planned on the remaining greens of Bangsar, there is high potential that they will suffer the same fate as Bukit Antarabangsa residents. Therefore, these new developments have been put on hold.
With D’9 Bangsar currently under development right beside Araville, the residents are worried that the water seepage from cracked water tanks can cause “tsunami” which can destroy Araville totally. Furthermore, residents might have to bear with the noise and air pollutions from the construction works. These factors have caused property prices of Araville to depreciate. Besides that, the development also increases density in the area. On the bright side, the new neighbor will bring more exclusivity feel to the area, as this new development is a very exclusive condominium development, comprising only nine units, a unit per floor. D’9 Bangsar was expected to be completed in mid-2010.
In addition, one has to bear bad traffic congestion around the clock that becomes worse during peak hours. Jalan Maarof is quite congested during these hours. Alternatively, one should opt for Jalan Medang Tanduk that connects to SPRINT highway for a convenient ingress and egress. This is a good solution.
Even though it is old, Araville is still one of the most wanted residential in Bangsar, and remains as one of the expatriate choice to call home. Besides Araville, other residential preferred are Casa Vista and Sri Penaga. In terms of investment, it is reasonable to invest in a unit at Araville. There is still some potential for its price to appreciate due to scarcity of new development in Bangsar and most new developments in the area are currently tagged at almost RM1,200 psf.
