SD11 which is situated in Bandar Sri Damansara, is a well-established township and a relatively serene place for one to consider living in. Apart from all the natural greenery surrounding it, there are other developments close by such as the Sunway SPK Damansara and adjacent to the modern township of Desa ParkCity.
Bandar Sri Damansara is located in the Klang Valley and is one of the many towns that seem to border on an almost indistinguishable demarcation between the Kuala Lumpur area and the Selangor area. This location, being the recipient of the Fiabci Malaysia Property Award in 1996, is definitely not to simply be overlooked. Bandar Sri Damansara is also considered to be a very well diversified community in terms of its ethnicity, which can also be obeserved to be as diverse in its human infrastructure.
The neighbourhood of SD11 is surrounded by an eclectic mix of necessary amenities which all tie-in together to help make the residents’ lives much easier. There are banks, educational institutions, medical centres and food outlets; all of which are situated mere minutes drive away. For the banks, there are branches of Maybank and RHB whereas SRK Sri Damansara, SMK Sri Damansara and Sekolah Sri Bestari make up the educational institutions.
For medical centres, residents will be able to make their way to the Damansara Damai Medical Centre, which is about 2km away, and the Mediviron Clinic, which is about 2.5km away. Finally, there are 2 fast food joints located relatively nearby, the Pizza Hut Sri Damansara and the McDonald’s Sri Damansara.
Access to other areas are relatively convenient such as a 5 minute drive away to Kepong, Menjalara, The Curve, Damansara Perdana, Mutiara Damansara as well as to Desa Park City. In addition, it is also a mere 10 minutes travel by car to Sungai Buloh, 1 Utama, TTDI, Mont Kiara. Some of the major well-known highways that provide a direct link to SD11 include the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), the Penchala Link and the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).
As part of Bandar Sri Damansara is a heavy industry area, the discharges from heavy vehicles that travel on an almost daily basis on the roads are sure to bring about significant damages such as potholes. However, the management of Bandar Sri Damansara took it upon themselves to perform road upgradings and resurfacing works back in 2007 which proved to be a permanent solution compared to the temporary patch-ups that had previously taken place.
Considering that SD11 in Bandar Sri Damansara is situated just beside the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), it still maintains its surroundings as a very peaceful and quiet one. This could be due to it being in an elevated residential area, and therefore is raised away from the normal noisy levels.
In addition, the neighborhood is quite complete due to its source of schools, banks, eateries, petrol pumps, etc that are all within easy reach. The prices of the houses there are understandably within the affordable range for quite an established and decently developed township as it was built on the other side of toll on the LDP.
The need for commuters of the highway to pay the toll fee of RM1.60 leading towards the happening areas such as One Utama, the Curve and also the fastest way to reach Kuala Lumpur city centre is a major drawback to living in the Bandar Sri Damansara are.
In addition, it will become pretty congested getting out of the area during the peak hours (weekday mornings and evenings) as well because there are only 2 main exits from there and both lead onto the LDP, which is already quite well known for traffic jams.
