Property agents like to advertise Changkat View as part of Sri Hartamas, but I always thought it is more Segambut than the other way round.
Besides, the condominium doesn't seem to have appreciated that much from the launching price. Do you think it would sooner or later become part of the high-end Sri Hartamas/Mont Kiara area?

Changkat View condominium is located in Taman SPPK Segambut, that makes it part of Segambut. Most owners will try to market it as Sri Hartamas, so that they can sell/rent for higher prices. However, with the completion of a flyover that links Dutamas area with that of Mont Kiara. It seems that driving to Sri Hartamas area is just minutes away. |

Changkat View is supposed to be part of Sri Hartamas. This area was formerly Segambut, was regazetted as Sri Hartamas - probably to boost the prices! Unfortunately, Changkat view is literally opposite the road from all the "real" Segambut area. Great for if you like food by the roadside, as there are plenty of roadside eateries! ;) |

Changkat view has always been part of Segambut and has NEVER been part of Sri Hartamas. The main road leading up to Changkat View and the other condos there (Menara Duta 1&2, Duta Ria, etc) used to be named Jalan Segambut. Only few years ago the road was renamed as Jalan Dutamas to give it a higher class sounding name. But Segambut turn into Dutamas, not into Sri Hartamas. |

At around RM300psf, it's still pretty reasonable for such condo in this closed to prime location. :-) |

But the facilities and layout are so so only ... plus many units are facing DUKE highway, which could be very noisy ... |

Agree with you, Joe.
Main attractive here though is the close proximity to prime location. However, once it goes above RM400psf, then it will be no longer attractive. |

Yes, especially Block A (closest to guard house) seems to be not aligning well with the rest. Seems like the developer wants to fully utilize the land, making it very weird site layout. I feel having an odd block in the middle of the site is bad Feng shui ... |
